All household removals are unique! There is not an "average move". Every family, every house and its contents are different. As soon as you have decided to sell your home and either put your effects into store or have decided on the home you wish to move into contact three removal companies that are members of the British Association of Removers. Ask each one for an estimate of the cost for carrying out your removal.

When you contact Luker Bros. (Removals and Storage) Ltd. we will make an appointment for an Estimator to come to your home to discuss your removal requirements in full and then provide a written Quotation detailing the services included and excluded, trading terms and conditions and details of insurance cover.

The appointment is made at a mutually convenient time and is without obligation.
The cost of your removal will reflect all the individual aspects of your move - overall total capacity - packing requirements - can the furniture lorry park easily outside your home or is the access difficult with a long walk - whether any furniture needs dismantling or special handling - whether any special equipment needs to be provided for individuals items i.e. grand piano/heavy garden ornaments etc. All this will be taken into consideration at the estimating stage of your move ensuring that on your removal day everything will go smoothly.

Once your removal plans have materialised and your dates confirmed you can telephone to request a booking that will suit your vacating and moving in schedule. Final schedules always depend on your confirmed times, the service you require and the distance involved in the move. This telephone booking should then be confirmed by completing and returning the Quotation Acceptance form. Your removal will then be carried out in accordance with the details discussed with our Estimator.

If is it not feasible to send an estimator to your home you can complete a House Contents Form.

Part Load/Groupage Service

If you need to move just one or two items or a small load within the UK we do provide a service whereby you will only pay for the space taken for those items. Again, this service is quoted individually and you simply have to telelphone/ fax/email details for a price. We have no specific set routes/schedules but as long as you can be flexible with the collection and delivery requirements most UK destinations are covered weekly..
